During the course of her work as a physician, Taineisha became increasingly aware of the short comings of traditional medicine and the usual doctor-patient encounters. She became interested in becoming involved in the health and wellness of her patients and the community in other ways. As a former self-professed non-runner turned marathoner/triathlete/aspiring obstacle course racer, Taineisha feels strongly about helping others find their passion and drive and become fitter and healthier versions of themselves. Using her own fitness and wellness journey, which started with group fitness classes as a springboard, Taineisha began teaching community Zumba classes in 2016. In addition to being a licensed Zumba and Zumba Kids/Kids Jr. Instructor, Taineisha is a Board-Certified Family Physician, an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and she completed the Integrative Health Coaching Foundations Course at Duke University.
